Brazilian Programs

A panorama of 117 films makes up the selection of 2019’s Brazilian Programs, showcased in a new organization this year. Our tour on the Brazilian short film scenario begins with a new feature: the Brazilian Competition, which brings together three programs with films selected from an universe of 704 films submitted for this year's selection. For the first time, the Festival has an official jury to choose films that will be awarded.

We also have the traditional Brazilian Showcase, with ten programs also selected among the films submitted, as well as the Students’ Showcase - four programs dedicated to films produced in audiovisual schools.

A section focused on films produced in audiovisual workshops completes the programming, with five different programs: the first is a collection of works produced by Brazilian audiovisual workshops, the second one brings together productions of the É Nóis na Fita group, and three others bring to the screens the production of Kinoforum Workshops, which this year celebrate 18 years of activities.
