Goodbye Germany! A melody of life goes from routine to delirium through Schlager music by Markus Sparfeldt, head of a monthly paper who had a late discovery of his singing voice while covering singer Udo Jürgens, and Steffi Teumner, a classically trained singer who follows the example of Helene Fischer. Set in notable public locations of the city of Münster, the film addresses the city as scenographic replica of its pre-war condition, approaching the rebirth of an industry that, in the audience's mind, is often associated to a nationalist speech, collective dream of exotic lands and strong sentimentality.
